The 22nd Annual New York State Recycling Conference is taking place on November 16 and 17 in Cooperstown, NY. The conference is held in conjunction with the New York State Association of Reduction, Reuse and Recycling (NYSAR3) and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC).
According to the Department of Environmental Conservation, the conference will focus on the latest technological advances in recycling technology. Other discussions at the conference will include topics such as markets development, green marketing, product stewardship, academic curricula and the use of social media for public education.
The two-day conference will also include the presenting of the Recyclers of the Year Award and the announcement of the winners of the New York Recycles Day poster contest.
The conference will conclude with the NYSAR3 Annual Members Meeting.
