NYC and LI Hit the Peak of Fall Foliage!

A stroll through New York City right now is full of vibrant oranges, shocking reds, and brilliant yellows.

Upper New York State might be past the peak of fall foliage colors, but New York City and Long Island are hitting their peak colors right now.  According to the New York State Fall Foliage Report, the very southern parts on New York are near the peak or at the peak for fall colors.

The foliage reports are obtained every Wednesday throughout the fall season.  The ninth and final report of 2011 was issued last week.

Check out some of the recent pictures that people have taken around New York City.
