US Pro Sports Go Green

In a duel effort to cut costs and repercussions on the environment, many United States professional sports teams and organizations have been making changes to green-ify their arenas, stadiums, courts and race tracks.

Baseball teams are installing solar canapes and NASCAR has plans to recycle old tires and scrap metal. Venues have also installed thousands of recycling bins and sell merchandise made form recycle material.

Some teams have also turned to digital signs, banners and advertising, saving millions of trees and dollars.

While these efforts are only the tip of the iceberg for conservationists, the green effort cant get much more publicity than the Super Bowl or the World Series.
