In 20 years, you might find a forest in Clearview Park of Queens.
On Saturday, over 2000 trees of various species were planted throughout the clearing by over 350 volunteers. Right now, they are just saplings, but as they grow, they will attempt to fight off the urban factors trying to keep them down. Hopefully, at least 70 percent will live to be enjoyed by generations to come.
Imagine, one long day of planting may turn into an unruly forest that you don’t often find in New York City.
