Got grass?

No, not that kind.

If you’re searching for a refreshing kick to your diet, or a healthy, natural snack for your pets, look no further than Stewart Borowsky, or as he’s coined himself – “The Grassman.”

Borowsky is a bespectacled Brooklyn-based farmer whose crops include wheatgrass, pea shoots, and other “indoor greens.” These greens can be ground into juices, chopped into salads, or fed to animals. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, Borowsky loads a small yellow school bus (yes, really) with his greens and sets up shop in Union Square.

The weekly farmer fair is hosted by Greenmarket, a division of GrowNYC designed to help promote the produce of local farmers.

Interested in trying a wheatgrass shot? Visit Borowsky and his bus in Union Square during the week year-round, or check him out here.
