Wish upon a star

Science has proven to be wrong. Again.

According to this NYTimes article, scientists have found that there are at least three times more stars in the universe than previously detected. This new development also brings forth another problem: the Milky Way cannot be used as an example for other galaxies in the universe. If there are more stars, it means scientists have miscalculated the total mass of galaxies. Which means we are doomed for universal catastrophe!

I joke. But it does go to show how very very little we know about out universe.
