Birdbath Bakery

Imagine a bakery with walls made of wheat and cups made from corn. Treats are made from organic ingredients and the staff wears recycled clothing. Sounds like a modern day Hansel-and-Gretel like treat house, right?

Actually, it’s really not far from it (minus the witch and the eating of children. That we can do without.)

With five locations in downtown Manhattan, Birdbath Bakery aims to prove that a sustainable small food business can exist! Almost everything that the bakery is physically made of and serves to it’s customers has ‘green roots’. It is a spin off from the City Bakery, another eco-friendly eating spot.
