Grow NYC presents Greenmarket Grains Week

Grow NYC is a community non-for-profit outreach program that aims to provide fresh produce to New Yorkers, create awareness about recycling and reducing waste, and encourage future generations to become environmental leaders through education.

From November 14th-21st, they are hosting a Greenmarket Grains Week to encourage local bakers, home cooks, eaters, or anyone else in who uses grains in their daily life to buy locally or regionally grown grains to use in their breads and other goods instead of buying commercial brands.

They have an entire weeks worth of events from lectures to food tastings all around NYC. Go eat some pancakes at the New Amsterdam Market or head over to Brooklyn to bake some historic bread! Get out there next week and support Greenmarket  grains!
