NYC Wasteless Compost Project

I stumbled upon a branch of NYC Wasteless Compost Project Demonstration site. It is off of Grand Street and Abraham Kazan Street. I’ve passed by it numerous times, but finally stopped the other day to see what it was.

The compost site is next to a small garden filled with tall sunflowers and planters of bright green plants. I imagine it looks much better in the spring, but I still managed to snap a few pictures from in between the fence.

You can learn more about the project, which has sites all over the City, here.
