“I only went out for a walk and finally concluded to stay out till sundown, for going out, I found, was really going in.” ~John Muir, 1913, in L.M. Wolfe, ed., John Muir, John of the Mountains: The Unpublished Journals of John Muir, 1938
For many NYU students, last week was the start of midterms, or as I like to call it, stress central. I found that when I was so overwhelmed, it helped to get out of the over-crowded library and take a short walk around Washington Square Park. Sometimes, the best bet in cramming for your 8-am test the next morning is to take a short break and enjoy what nature has to offer.
