Holy Mother Goose

As I was sitting in Brooklyn Bridge Park staring at the tip of Manhattan, a group of four Canadian geese honked over the East River. Which got me wondering…aren’t all these geese suppose to be gone? Apparently not. I believe that is precisely why a new initiative to further eradicate the Canadian geese from New York City completely has been announced by federal officials. As reported by an article I read yesterday on Brooklyn Paper’s website, the city hopes to enforce eradication of the geese in a  seven-mile “kill zone” around JFK and LaGuardia. Is this in an attempt to protect airplane passengers, or simply a genocide? Read more on Brooklyn Paper and decide.
