- Demonstrators in Zuccotti Park hosted workshops and “teach-ins” on sustainable economics and fracking this Sunday for the first Climate Justice Day of the Occupy Wall Street movement, Grist reports.
Two weeks ago, Grist had asked their readers what they thought about Occupy Wall Street, and they received an “avalanche” of emails, many disgruntled that the movement had yet to acknowledge “the looming environmental catastrophe.”
Environmental groups might one of the many to be gaining a voice on the OWS spokes council, proposed a few weeks ago. Check out videos from the teach-ins here.
